Hat Care Guide – How to Care For Your Hat

How do I store my hat?

Store your hat on a flat surface out of direct sunlight.  

What if my hat gets wet?

If your hat gets wet, no worries, simply leave to dry naturally out of direct sunlight on a flat surface.

What if my hat gets dirty?

– Let the dirt dry before cleaning.
– Use a clean, soft brush to brush any dirt or dust that has collected on your hat.
– Do not put your hat through the washing machine.

How do I reshape my hat?

Boil the kettle and hold the hat over the steam, then reshape and let dry on a flat surface.  Or use a damp towel between the hat an da hot iron to flatten out a misshaped brim. 

General care tips

Our wool hats will fade over time, especially in our harsh NZ sunshine. Avoid leaving it on the dashboard of a hot car or in direct sunlight when you’re not wearing it to prolong the colour of the hat.
