Hat Care Guide – How to Care For Your Hat

Look after your hat and it’ll stay looking great for years to come.

How should I store my hat?

Store it on a flat surface, out of direct sunlight. This helps it keep its shape and colour.

What if my hat gets wet?

No worries — let it dry naturally on a flat surface, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

What if my hat gets dirty?

• Let any dirt dry fully before cleaning.

• Use a soft, clean brush to gently remove dust or dirt.

• Never machine wash your hat.

How do I reshape my hat?

• Use steam from a boiled kettle to gently soften the hat. Then reshape and let dry on a flat surface.

• For the brim, place a damp towel between the hat and a warm iron to flatten it out.

General care tips

Our wool hats will naturally fade over time, especially under NZ’s strong sun.
To keep your hat looking fresh, avoid leaving it in direct sunlight (like on a car dashboard) when not in use.
